Our Response to COVID-19 (May 18, 2020)

Dear valued patient and families,

We are open for dental treatment!  Thank you for your patience and understanding during these unprecedented times.  Per guidance of the California Department of Public Health and the California Dental association, we are officially reopening our for office for dental treatment May 18th.

New treatment and patient admittance protocols are firmly in place to respect social distancing recommendations and minimize patient/patient & patient/staff contact.  We have upgraded the PPE (personal protective equipment) worn by our staff as well as installed clear barriers around the office for your safety.  Additionally, new suction systems, pre-treatment mouth rinses, and UV sterilization lights have been implemented to maintain a safe environment.  Our office is in accordance with  the sterilization protocols as put forth by the American Dental Association (ADA), Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

Your safety is a priority at our office and we take it very seriously to ensure safe and comfortable treatment.  We thank you for the opportunity to serve your dental needs.

Upon your next visit you will notice some changes not limited to the mentioned below:

Appointment Reminders:  We have implemented a new system to confirm your appointments via text/email.  If you have not received a reminder, please inform our staff.    

Reception Room: In effort to maintain a clean environment, items that are difficult to clean between users have been removed e.g. patient sign-in sheet, magazines, and other reading materials.  We have also decreased the number of reception chairs to limit the number person in the room simultaneously.  As kindly ask that patients awaiting their appointment and non scheduled persons wait in their vehicles.

Dental Cleaning Appointments:  Dental cleanings have resumed without polishing as per ADA and CDA (California Dental Association) recommendations.   Dental exams are now separate appointments.  If you have any dental concerns not related to your dental cleaning, please bring to our hygienist’s attention and we will address as promptly as possible.

Check Out: To minimize the patient queue during check out, our staff may kindly ask that you wait in your treatment room until the next available staff is available to assist you.  Contactless payments methods are available, pens for signatures are disinfected after each use, and cash transactions will be handled with tray and gloves.
