3D Digital Imaging & Digital X-Rays

Cone Beam CT Scan (CBCT)

The J. Morita Veraviewpocs R300 is the latest in low radiation state-of-the-art three dimensional (3D) visualization of your teeth and jaw bones.

Unlike a traditional spiral CT scanner, this 3D system utilizes cone beam technology to produce precise digital images while minimizing your exposure to radiation.

This high-end technology previously only found in hospitals is now available at our office.  The CBCT allows for complete anatomical visualization to diagnose your existing condition with increased confidence and unprecedented accuracy not found in traditional x-rays.  The detailed images provides foresight to case planning that was previously not possible.

With the aid of our CBCT we are able provide a wider range of treatment and assess your candidacy for dental implants and grafting with a quick and comfortable 10 second scan.

Digital X-Rays

Dental x-rays are invaluable aids in diagnosing, treating, and maintaining dental health.  We choose carefully which and when x-rays are taken to analyze your oral health.  By utilizing digital x-ray technologies, we are able to immediately visualize the health of your teeth, determine your bone level and health, examine the roots of teeth, diagnose areas of discomfort, as well as assess damage when trauma occurs.  There is no need to wait for film development as it was previously.  Another important advantage is the low radiation required to use digital x-rays; it’s about 50 percent less than traditional film x-rays.  Digital imaging allows us to store patient images, and enables us to quickly and easily transfer them to specialists or insurance companies.
